June 2, 2020 โ€“ As part of the response against the COVID-19 pandemic in the region, a Technical Working Group (TWG) Workshop on Food Security was conducted by the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA), together with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Aquatic Resources (MAFAR), in partnership with Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE) on June 2, 2020 at the BPDA Conference Hall, BGC, Cotabato City.

This one-day workshop aimed to enhance the powers and functions of the Task Group per sector, as well as review and improve the activity template on food security. This was participated by the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM), Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Aquatic Resource (MAFAR), Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Tourism (MTIT), Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE), Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA), and Ministry of Basic, Higher, and Technical Education (MBHTE).

Engr. Esmail Guiamel of MAFAR gave his welcoming statement, and then followed by the presentation of TWG output of the series of conducted meetings, and the overview of the mechanics of the workshop by Ms. Moโ€™mina Maslamama and Norhan Hadji Abdullah respectively.The BPDA, one of the clusters under the Bangsamoro Inter-Agency Task Force (BIATF) against COVID-19, served as the technical secretariat of the Food Security Task Group.
