BPDA set to launch 1st Bangsamoro Development Plan

COTABATO CITY — The Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) is all set to lead for tomorrowโ€™s historic launch, November 04, 2020 of the first-ever Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP) 2020-2022 to be held at Shariff Kabunsuan Cultural Complex, Bangsamoro Government Center, this city.

Following months of crafting, the plan was finally completed and approved. It is now ready to be launched by the Bangsamoro Government.

The BPDA, led by Bangsamoro Director General Engr. Mohajirin T. Ali is slated to officially handover the plan to BARMM Interim Chief Minister (ICM) Ahod B. Ebrahim. Executive Secretary Abdrulraof A. Macacua shall represent ICM Ebrahim.

The activity will be physically and virtually attended by officials from the ministries, agencies, and offices, and international development partners of the BARMM.

Guest officials from the national government include National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) Acting Secretary Karl Kendrick T. Chua and Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP) Secretary Carlito G. Galvez. The 1st BDP 2020-2022 is the first of its kind in the Bangsamoro and in the entire Philippines which harmonizes the existing development plans in the BARMM and will be implemented under the Parliamentary System of Government of the Bangsamoro.  (Lovella Lao-Lastimosa, IKMD, BPDA-BARMM)
