BPDA reviews PAPs, ensures RISRSP integration in RM, BDIP

COTABATO CITY — As part of the commitment towards establishing a Risk Informed Shock Responsive Social Protection (RISRSP) in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM), the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) as chair of the Joint Programme on RISRSP BARMM Technical Working Group (TWG) for Output 1 conducted a two-day consultation-workshop on Monday until Tuesday, May 10-11 to review the updated programs, projects, and activities (PAPs) of the concerned BARMM ministries and ensure RISRSP’s integration into the Results Matrices (RM) and Bangsamoro Development Investment Program (BDIP) of the 1st Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP) 2020-2022.

Focal persons and planning officers from the Ministries of the Interior and Local Government (MILG) together with Rapid Emergency Action on Disaster Incidence (READi), Social Services and Development (MSSD), Indigenous People’s Affairs (MIPA), Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR), Environment, Natural Resources and Energy (MENRE), Science and Technology (MOST), Labor and Employment (MOLE), Basic Higher and Technical Education (MBHTE), and Public Order and Safety (MPOS) have attended the consultation-workshop held in Pagana Kutawato Native Restaurant in Cotabato City and via zoom video teleconference.

Furthermore, this review intends to consider lenses on RISRSP and integrate these in the ministries’ RM and BDIP of the 1st BDP 2020-2022.

Some of the upcoming activities of the Joint Programme on RISRSP BARMM include BPDA’s evaluation of PAPs of the ministries, offices, and agencies (MOAs), training on the enhancing adaptive and shock responsive social protection in the BARMM, and endorsement of the proposed PPAs of the MOAs to the Ministry of Finance, Budget and Management (MFBM).

Moreover, this activity is also in line with the Chief Minister’s commitment during the Joint Programme Steering Committee Meeting for BARMM to review its 2021 and 2022 plans and to identify where RISRSP supportive activities can be included. (BPDA-BARMM)
