COTABATO CITY โ In line with the celebration of the 4th Bangsamoro foundation day, BPDA Director General Engr. Mohajirin T. Ali, co-chairperson of the Economic Development Committee (EDCom) and head of the technical secretariat of the Bangsamoro Economic and Development Council (BEDC), took part during the second day of the said week-long celebration.
In his message, DG Ali underscored the directive of BARMM Chief Minister Ahod. B. Ebrahim, directing all ministries, offices, and agencies to take part in the said event, in which the EDCom chaired by the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Agrarian Reform (MAFAR) Minister Mohammad S. Yacob, shall take the lead during the celebration on Sunday, January 22, 2023.
โWith this, we enjoin you to support and witness the noble activities prepared by the Bangsamoro Government through the EDCom,โ Ali said.
Among the EDCom-led activities include the ceremonial awarding to the beneficiaries of the different major programs and projects being implemented by the EDCom member agencies; Recognition to development partners who are actively supporting the economic development sector; Exhibits on the different cultural arts performances in the region; Trivia with appropriate prizes for the winners; and Kulintang competition.
โThese meaningful activities aim to showcase the rich culture and potentials of BARMM, extend our gratitude to our development partners and provide basic services to our constituents,โ Ali stressed.
Moreover, Minister Yacob expressed his gratitude to the member ministeries of the EDCom for their concerted effort in leading the said event.
He also reiterated the Chief Ministerโs report during the opening program held on Saturday, January 21, highlighting that the BARMM holds the second fastest economic growth among the regions in the country with 7.5% increase in its economic performance.
