The RPDO-BARMM facilitated the first writeshop on the formulation of the 1st BDP 2020-2022 by Planning Committee (PC) last September 19-20 at the Golden Lace Resort, Cotabato City. The output of the writeshop was the shared analysis captured in the chapters using the draft chapters per PC.
Technical staff from the BARMM’s different ministries and offices are participating in a writeshop last September 19, in Cotabato City to formulate the 1st Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP) for 2020-2022.
The activity was conducted by the Office of the Chief Minister (OCM) through the BARMM’s Regional Planning and Development Office (RPDO). It aimed to come up with the draft chapters of the 1st BDP containing the sectoral assessment, priorities, and development framework.
The participants were grouped into five planning sectors, namely: development administration, infrastructure development, social development, economic development, and peace, public order and safety.
Article XIII, Section 5 of the Bangsamoro Organic Law states that “the Bangsamoro Government shall formulate its development plans taking into consideration the Bangsamoro people’s unique needs and aspirations and consistent with national development goals. The Plan shall also consider the revenue generation efforts needed for the post-conflict rehabilitation, reconstruction, and development of its territory.
The Plan shall include the promotion of growth and full employment, human development, and address social and economic inequities that have resulted from decades of neglect, historical injustice, poverty, and inequality.”
