COTABATO CITY — The Bangsamoro Government led by Chief Minister Ahod B. Ebrahim and United Nations Resident Coordinator (UNRC) convened on Thursday, April 21 to discuss the United Nationsโ€™ (UN) support to Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

The said project is supported by International Organization for Migration (IOM), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), World Food Programme (WFP), and United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (UNFAO).

โ€œThis transformation project is getting attraction from the international community. We already have resources from Australia. I meet others like France, Sweden, United Kingdom, Qatar, they are all interested,โ€ he said.

Gonzales further suggested to engage on this project as it is expected to help the conflict affected areas in the BARMM.

Meanwhile, Gonzales endorsed Stean Tshiband as UNโ€™s Area Coordinator for BARMM.

โ€œMy role is to attend some of your issues and to lead to the UN to look forward as a whole, but UN agencies will continue to work with their respective counterparts,โ€ Tshiband explained.
