COTABATO CITY — The Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) is set to craft the Official Development Assistance (ODA) handbook that will serve as the basis for coordination, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting of all proposed foreign-assisted programs and projects implemented in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).
In line with the formulation of the said โhandbookโ, the Official Development Assistance/Nationally Funded Programs, and Projects Coordination Division (ODA/NFPPCD) of the BPDA spearheads the ongoing stakeholdersโ consultation workshop in Davao City from August 23-24, 2022 with the guidance of Maria Victoria Z. Maglana, and in partnership with The Asia Foundation (TAF) under its CARE for Peace Project funded by the Australian Partnerships for Peace of the Australian Embassy in the Philippines,
โODA plays a vital role in the socio-economic development of our region. Therefore, we must have a process that we can work through, explain how things work, and a system that will help the smooth implementation of programs. We need enhanced coordination and guidance on how to respond to issues and concerns in the future,โ said Engr. Guialalluden M. Usop, head of Official Development Assistance/Nationally Funded Programs, and Projects Coordination Division (ODA/NFPPCD).
Said workshop is an avenue to gather detailed information from a diverse group of people with proper knowledge and prior experience dealing with ODA and extract the needed information in developing a handbook that is designed to meet the requirements of the stakeholders.
Among the participants include civil society organizations, local government units, international non-government organizations, different BARMM ministries, offices, and agencies, and the ODA technical working group. (Mary Lovella Lao-Lastimosa, BPDA-BARMM)
