COTABATO CITY — The Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) conducted today, May 16, a lecture on mental health and psychosocial support in the workplace to strengthen the well-being of its employees.

Sarah Jane A. Deocampo, Mental Health Specialist from the Ministry of Health (MOH-BARMM), shared the importance of a personโ€™s mental well-being, emphasizing that stress is a normal reaction to a physical and emotional challenge that occurs when demands are out of balance.

โ€œIf you feel symptoms of mental illness, do not be shy to approach those at mental health provider to be given the right advice about it,โ€ she said.

Deocampo also underscored the coping mechanisms that every employee must have to maintain a healthy mind and well-being.

During an open forum, one of the female participants suggested that there should be programs for those people who cannot afford to consult a private specialist.

Moreover, Engr. Mohajirin T. Ali, Director General of the BPDA, reminded the employees to strengthen teamwork and coordination between the staff and their supervisors to maintain a stress-free workplace.  (BPDA-BARMM)
