Greetings of Peace and Unity!
After decades of struggle, the Bangsamoroโs desire to exercise their right for self-determination had finally come into fruition when the Bangsamoro Organic Law (BOL) was signed into law on July 27, 2018 and was ratified thru a plebiscite in January 2019.
Hence, this momentous event commenced the transition period for the establishment of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) as a new political entity.
Since then, the BARMM observes the annual celebration of this historic milestone every 21st of January.
This year, the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority is one with the entire Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in celebrating the foundation anniversary with the theme โMoral Governance: Building Strong Foundations for a Better Bangsamoro.โ
Amidst the pandemic, let us all be united and work together in building strong foundations towards a better living for every Bangsamoro.
Lastly, may we all commemorate this event with the observance that adheres to the new normal.
