COTABATO CITY โ€” Judy Mae Cagang, a planning assistant of the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA), bagged the fifth place in the female category during the โ€œ3.5km Fun Runโ€ held on Saturday, November 25, kicking off this yearโ€™s 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women (VAW).

Bearing the theme โ€œUnited About Violence Against Women,โ€ Cagang and some personnel of the BPDA, along with the participants of different ministries, offices, and agencies (MOAs) of the BARMM, actively joined the event with a starting point at the Cotabato City Plaza and ended at the Bangsamoro Government Center, symbolizes unity, resilience, and commitment in a bid for a VAW-free BARMM.

It also served as a form of advocacy, inspiring activism and encouraging individuals to take further action in their communities.

Meanwhile, bearing the theme โ€œEmpowering Change: 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women,โ€ the 18-Day Campaign to End VAW aims to mobilize increased support for policies and legislation directed at preventing and addressing VAW in the region.
