COTABATO CITY โ The Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) gathered its technical personnel in a writeshop held Tuesday until Wednesday, April 25-26, to draft a style guide for the preparation of โAccomplishment Reportโ and consolidate the accomplishments of the regionโs five main sectors: governance, peace and security, economic, social, and infrastructure.
This two-day writeshop aimed to identify gaps in the submitted accomplishment reports of MOAs, refine and consolidate the sectoral accomplishment reports to come up with the BARMM Accomplishment Report.
Melanie M. Indar, Director for Planning and Policies Bureau, said that this workshop will aid technical personnel in consolidating the reports submitted by the member ministries, offices, and agencies (MOAs) under their respective sectors to come up with substantive and comprehensive accomplishment report of the BARMM.
โLetโs focus on the major programs and milestones in the consolidation of accomplishment reports,โ she stressed.
She also recommended to include in the sectoral agenda the updating and reporting of sectoral accomplishments and if possible, during regular meetings of the Bangsamoro Economic and Development Council (BEDC).
Based on the identified gaps in the consolidation of the said report, Social Planning Division (SPD) Chief Palawan T. Mamaon suggested to provide MOAs with a standard template of the accomplishment report.
To produce a more comprehensive and substantive reports and other official documents of the BARMM, the โBPDA Style Guideโ was introduced to set the standards for writing, editing, formatting, and designing documents. Also, this will establish the standard requirements for grammar, punctuation, tense, tone, wording, and writing reports.
According to Macro-economic Planning Division (MEPD) Chief Camelia de Vera-Dacanay, said style guide will help facilitate the writing and packaging of official documents such as development plans, accomplishments reports, and policy research and proposals.
Meanwhile, being the technical secretariat of the BEDC, BPDA is responsible for the preparation of the regionโs annual accomplishment report. The five sectoral committee secretariats coordinate with their respective MOAs, consolidate the report, and submit it to the Information and Knowledge Management Division (IKMD-BPDA) for the overall consolidation and packaging of the BARMM Accomplishment Report.
