COTABATO CITY — The Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) extended relief assistance on Sunday, November 06 to at least thirty (30) families in Sitio Nimaan, Barangay Tubuan, Datu Blah T. Sinsuat, Maguindanao del Norte.

Said families were victims of landslide and flashfloods caused by Typhoon Paeng last October 28, 2022 that hit select towns in Maguindanao province, some barangays in SGA, and Cotabato City.

Each family received 10-kilogram rice, straw mat (banig), kitchenware, dining utensils, pail and dipper, clothing, and two (2) pairs of slippers.

BPDA Director General Engr. Mohajirin T. Ali, said that the extended assistance was part of the Bangsamoro Governmentโ€™s continuous support to augment the needs of Typhoon Paeng victims residing in the said area.

Moreover, Yasher Arafat B. Usman and Louie J. Tan facilitated the relief operation, wherein they travelled for 2 hours via pump boat, 1 hour via tractor, and a 30-minute walk to reach the said area.  (Mary Lovella Lao-Lastimosa with reports from Norodin Intia, BPDA-BARMM)
