COTABATO CITY โ€“ The Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) spearheaded the kick-off activity of the regionwide โ€˜2nd Bangsamoro Development Plan (BDP) 2023-2028 Campus Tourโ€™ at Cotabato State University on May 29 and June 01, attended by college and graduate school students, faculty, and staff of the institution.The Campus Tour aims to popularize the 2nd BDP and garner support from the academic sector. The event seeks to foster a deeper understanding of the Bangsamoro government’s development initiatives and inspire collaboration within the community.CSU President Dr. Sema G. Dilna warmly welcomed the BPDA led by Director General Engr. Mohajirin T. Ali, MNSA, underscoring the timely conduct of the activity. โ€œTimely that the BPDA is here with us today for them to take what necessities and practical development that can be augmented to our university.โ€โ€œFor our students, please help, samahan natin sa campus tour ang ating butihing BPDA,โ€ urged Pres. Dilna, encouraging students to actively participate in the activity.In his message, DG Ali emphasized that communicating the 2nd BDP 2023-2028 to the academic sector aligns with the Communication Strategy outlined in the plan’s fourteenth chapter. โ€œInforming our multi-stakeholders about the 2nd BDP through this medium is a strategic effort to amplify information dissemination across the region,โ€ he stressed.DG Ali introduced the 2nd BDP 2023-2028 to participants, highlighting it as a six-year comprehensive development roadmap designed to guide the Bangsamoro government towards its goal of becoming an empowered, cohesive, and progressive region by 2028.โ€œThe plan addresses the current state of socioeconomic sectors, existing challenges and gaps, and development opportunities in the BARMM, while highlighting the priority programs, projects, and activities that will support the realization of the six development goals reflected in the Bangsamoro Development Framework,โ€ he added.Together with BPDA’s bureau directors and division chiefs, DG Ali addressed a wide range of concerns during an open forum, including employment, peace and security, youth engagement, educational infrastructures, disaster risk reduction (DRR) initiatives, environmental programs, tourism, upcoming inaugural parliamentary election in BARMM, the government’s efforts to bolster the business sector, and other development initiatives of the Bangsamoro government. The discussion also covered the evaluation of the 1st BDP 2020-2022, the physical indicators that guided the formulation of the 2nd BDP 2023-2028, and its alignment with the Philippine Development Plan (PDP) 2023-2028.Meanwhile, an online via pre-test and post-test were conducted to establish interactive engagement with participants during the activity.โ€œOur presence in this event signifies our eagerness to know the plans of our government for us Bangsamoro people and be part of the implementation process,โ€ said Norhaya T. Bauda, president of the CSU Graduate School Students Organization.For his part, CSU Student Council President Abdulbashit M.
