COTABATO CITY โ€” The Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) has officially received accreditation to provide Continuing Professional Development (CPD) units for future training programs related to environmental planning.

On November 18, 2024, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted an orientation on the CPD Professional Accreditation Process for the BPDA at the BPDA Conference Hall II, Bangsamoro Government Center (BGC), Cotabato City.

In her opening remarks, BPDA Chief Administrative Officer Zenaida A. Badrudin underscored the significance of this milestone for professionals in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM).

โ€œThis orientation is a significant milestone for BPDA, reinforcing our commitment to delivering high-quality, accredited training programs that meet both regional and national professional development standards,โ€ Badrudin stated.

This orientation on CPD accreditation process ensures that BPDA will adhere to established standards and guidelines when designing and implementing CPD activities. These accredited programs will offer professionals with essential CPD units, supporting their career advancement and strengthening their professional reputation in the industry.

PRC representatives, including Ronald Von D. Rivera, Janice D. Secreto, Deanne Jezrah H. Jontilano, and Jade Mark B. Siladan, delivered key presentations during the orientation. They provided insights into compliance requirements and operational protocols to prepare BPDA for its role as a CPD provider.

Norsha L. Lao, BPDA Planning Officer IV, highlighted the importance of this collaboration between BPDA and PRC.

โ€œLooking ahead, we anticipate significant opportunities for continued collaboration with the PRC. We are confident that this engagement will ensure the BPDAโ€™s initiatives positively impact the professional growth of our stakeholders and contribute to the sustainable development of the Bangsamoro region,โ€ Lao said.
