COTABATO CITY — In partnership with the World Food Programme (WFP), pool of writers from the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) is currently drafting the Bangsamoro Food Sufficiency Plan (BFSP) 2021-2025 during the 3-day in-house writeshop on September 21-23, taking place at Avior Hotel in General Santos City.

As stated in Section 2 of the Chief Ministerโ€™s Executive Order No. 005 series of 2020, Bangsamoro Food Sufficiency Task Force (BFSTF) is mandated to craft the BFSP 2021-2025.

BPDA, as the technical secretariat of the โ€˜Task Forceโ€™ spearheads the crafting of the said plan.

This plan shall outline the regional priorities based on the comprehensive understanding of the problem related to access, availability, and the utilization of food in the region. 

The Task Force will also include initiatives for ending hunger, improved food security, and promoting sustainable food system in the region.

Moreover, said plan aims to ensure a self-reliant, food secure, and resilient Bangsamoro Autonomous Region.

Engr. Mohajirin T. Ali, BFSTF vice chair and head of the technical secretariat, said โ€œcarefully include all necessary data and interventions in formulating this plan in terms of social, economic, infrastructure, and governance development.โ€

Meanwhile, the pool of writers is composed of Rohanisah Rashid as the chairperson, Bai Alyanna Ibrahim as the vice chairperson, and members which include Shariffa Ainie Abatayo, Norhan Hadji Abdullah, Mary Lovella Lastimosa, Warda Sarip, Khairon Sura, Bai Sittie Amira Nouf Lauban, and Pahmia Noska.  (BPDA-BARMM)
