Technical writing workshop for BPDA personnel kicks off

COTABATO CITY — Aimed at capacitating the personnel and technical staff of the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA), the five-day intensive training-workshop on communication, research, and technical writing kicked off Friday, January 29, 2021 held at BPDA Conference Hall, Bangsamoro Government Center, Cotabato City.

Twenty-two (22) technical staff participated in the said activity, facilitated by Dr. Ma. Erlie Josefa R. Babayen-on, Research Supervisor of Cotabato City Schools Division.

Ainie M. Abatayao, Planning Officer III of BPDAโ€™s Social Planning Division, said that at the end of the five-day training-workshop, the participants will be able to write, edit and proofread different types of letters and reports by means of applying the newly-learned technical writing techniques.  Also, the participants will learn the difference of academic and technical writing.

โ€œAfter this training, we are expecting that we will go back to our respective workstations with enhanced skills, equipped with new writing strategies that we can use in writing our reports, researches, and correspondences,โ€ Abatayao stressed. Meanwhile, the remaining four days of the training-workshop will be continued on February to March 2021.  (BPDA-BARMM)
