National Search for Outstanding Volunteers 2019

The Regional Planning and Development Office-BARMM being the chair of the Regional Steering Committee for the Search for Outstanding Volunteer (RSC-SOV) in BARMM led the screening of the nominees resulting to sending three (3) Regional nominees from BARMM.

The Philippine National Volunteer Service Coordinating Agency (PNVSCA) together with the National Volunteer Month Steering Committee and the House Committee on Peoples Participation headed by Hon. Florida โ€œRidaโ€ P. Robes, Chairperson, Committee on the Peopleโ€™s Participation of House of Representatives and Hon. Alan Peter Cayetano, Speaker of the House of the Representatives conducted the Awarding Ceremony for the Search for the Outstanding Volunteers 2019 on December 16, 2019 at the House of the Representatives.

Ten (10) volunteers from various regions in the Philippines were awarded as National Volunteer Awardees. The BARMM regional nominee in the person of Ms. Aliah Adam, was awarded as National Volunteer in the Youth Category. She is an advocate of Women Empowerment and No to Early and Forced Marriage.

The ceremony was graced by Hon. Alan Peter Cayetano, which he emphasized that our nation is need of Active Volunteerism to achieve Holistic Change. He set as an example the success of recent Sea Games which was participated by various volunteers which even in simple acts would give a big impact to the foreign athletes a good experience.

As the speech of Hon. Ernesto M. Pernia, Secretary of Socioeconomic Planning, and Chair of National Volunteer Month Steering Committee, encouraging the National Awardees to share their stories in order to inspire and make our Nation a center of Volunteerism.Together with Ms. Aliah Adam, representative from BARMM-RPDO also attended the awarding.
