Engr. Mohajirin T. Ali, Director General of the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA), paid a courtesy visit today, Oct. 4, to Cotabato City Mayor Mohammad Ali ‘Bruce’ D. Matabalao to formally introduce the BPDA and Bangsamoro Population and Development Office (BPDO), underscoring its roles and functions in the Bangsamoro government.
Said meeting aimed to strengthen the partnership and coordination of the BPDA and BPDO with the City Government of Cotabato. This partnership will ensure that plans and directions are aligned and complementary to the overall goal of the Bangsamoro Government.
BPDA serves as the executive arm of the Bangsamoro government and technical secretariat of the Bangsamoro Economic and Development Council (BEDC). It is the counterpart of the National Economic and Development Authority (NEDA) at the national level. On the other hand, BPDO serves as the Commission on Population (PopCom) in the BARMM.
