COTABATO CITY โ Select personnel of the Bangsamoro Planning and Development Authority (BPDA) successfully participated in the two-day symposium on โActivate: Digital Infrastructureโ held on March 15-16, 2023, spearheaded by the Bangsamoro Information and Communications Technology Office (BICTO), in partnership with the Millennial Tech, VST ECS Philippines, and Acer Academy.
The said symposium aimed to help all the ministries, offices, and agencies (MOAs) in the BARMM to establish a reliable digital foundation and build-topnotch unified systems linking all the various units and offerings, enhance services and efforts towards the Bangsamoro people, to deliver a more efficient and captivating employee involvement, and offer outstanding assistance to the longstanding partners and stakeholders.
With the commitment of the Bangsamoro government to achieve a universal connectivity and to improve public access to modern technologies, BICTO is utilizing various mechanisms including the said symposium to aid the concerned BARMM MOAs to further develop the digital infrastructures in the region.
In order to create a more digitalized region, the BARMM advocates for widespread digital adoption and acceleration while recognizing the fact that there are more works which are needed to be done towards achieving a more accessible and affordable internet connectivity in the region.
As the technical secretariat of the Bangsamoro Economic and Development Council (BEDC), the BPDA actively engages with the activities and other initiatives of the Bangsamoro government in developing the regionโs digital infrastructure โ one of the enhanced 12-Point Priority Agenda of the BARMM.
